Beef curry
description:
Japanese curry using Vermont curry packets. This is a quick weeknight meal.
 
ingredients: 1 lb flank steak, sliced thin in strips
1/2 onion, chopped fine
2 carrots, sliced in chunks
4 celery stocks, sliced the same as carrots
1/2 of a small cabbage, sliced in thick 2-in strips
1 potato sliced in small cubes
6 cups of hot water
1 8.4oz box of Vermont Curry, mild
 
instructions: 1) Heat oil within a dutch onion. Sautee the meat and onions until cooked through. Drain any of the grease from the meat.

2) Add carrots, celery, and water to the pot and raise to a boil. Cover and simmer till carrots are near soft.

3) Add cabbage and potatoes and cook until the potatoes are soft.

4) Turn off heat and add the curry blocks. Mix until dissolved. Turn heat on and stir frequently for 5 minutes.
