Chick-Fil-A chicken

A copycat recipe that's close.
 
ingredients: Marinade
1/2 cup pickle juice (dill pickles, haven't tried bread/butter pickle juice)
1/4 cup buttermilk
1.5 lb chicken breasts, cut into strips (need to try chicken thighs next time)

Glue
1 egg, beaten

Coating (more topping may be needed if cutting chicken into smaller pieces)
1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 Tbsp powdered sugar
1 tsp cayenne pepper

Sauce
1/4 cup mayo
2 Tbsp honey
2 tsp bbq sauce
2 tsp dijon mustard
1 tsp yellow mustard
 
instructions: 1) Rinse and cut chicken into desired size.

2) Mix the pickle juice and buttermilk in a bowl. Marinate chicken in juice for 30 minutes.

3) Thoroughly dry the chicken before step #4.

4) Mix all of the coating ingredients in a bowl.

5) Beat egg in a bowl. Cover chicken in egg.

6) Cover chicken in the coating and brush oil on both sides.

7) Air fry at 375° for 5 minutes. Flip. Continue for another 5 minutes or until done.
