Chickpea curry

A simple Indian curry dish.
 
ingredients: 1 large onion, finely chopped
1 jalapeno, seeds removed and finely chopped

1.5 in piece of ginger, grated
3 cloves garlic, grated
1 Tbsp tomato paste

1 tsp garam marsala
3/4 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp Indian chili powder
1 tsp table salt
1/4 tsp tumeric

28 oz plum tomatoes

1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1/3 can evaporated milk
 
instructions: 1) Sautee onions in oil until browned. Near completion, add jalapeno.

2) Add garlic, ginger, and tomato paste. Cook for a minute.

3) Add garam masala, cumin, salt, chili powder, turmeric and cook for a minute.

4) Add tomatoes and cook till thickened.

5) Add evaporated milk.
