Miso soup

Basic miso soup recipe. You can also use Kayanoya packets.
 
ingredients: 4 cups water
2 Tbsp red miso
1 Tbsp yellow miso
1 tsp hondashi (or two Kayanoya packets)
2 eggs
large pinch of wakame
 
instructions: 1) Boil the water in a pot.

1a) Dashi packet: Place Kayanoya packets into the room temperature water. Bring to boil. Once at a simmer, leave simmering for 2 minutes. Remove packets. (Do not add hondashi in the next step.)

2) Press the miso and hondashi through a mesh strainer in the boiling water.

3) Mix the two eggs in the boiling water to create streaks of egg.
