Oatmeal (overnight)

This recipe is for the standard steel cut oatmeal.
 
ingredients: 1 cup steel cut oats
3 cups water
1/2 tsp kosher salt

1 cup water (room temperature)
 
instructions: 1) Bring 3 cups water to a boil.

2) Remove from heat and add oats and salt. Mix and cover. Leave it overnight.

3) Add the extra cup of room temperature water to the oatmeal and mix.

4) Bring to a simmer.

5) Lower temperature to a low simmer.

6) Turn off heat once it hits the desired consistency.
