| ingredients: | 1.5 lbs chicken thighs 1 large egg Cornstarch 1/4 red pepper flakes 2 garlic cloves, minced 1/2 tsp ginger, minced 1/4 cup sugar 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup orange juice 1/4 cup white distilled vinegar 2 Tbsp soy sauce 2 Tbsp water 2 Tbsp cornstarch 1 tsp sesame oil |
| instructions: | 1) Remove the bone and skin from the chicken thighs, if present. Cut the chicken into 1-inch pieces. Generously salt the chicken. 2) Beat the egg in a large bowl and add and 1/2 tsp white pepper. Add chicken to the bowl and cover with the egg. 3) Cover the egg in cornstarch and dust off as much as possible. 4) Cook the chicken at 400° in the air fryer. Flip every 5 minutes and remember to spray oil on the chicken. 5) Heat 1 Tbsp oil in a wok. Add red pepper flakes, garlic, ginger and cook for 30 seconds. 6) Add orange juice and both sugars. Stir to combine. 7) Add vinegar and soy sauce. Stir to combine. 8) Add cornstarch and water to small bowl and add to the wok slowly to thicken the sauce. 9) Toss cooked chicken in the wok. |
