Pizza dough (new)
description:
A new pizza dough recipe which cooks well in two 9" cake pans.
 
ingredients: 8 1/3 oz all purpose flour
1 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp yeast (any type)

2/3 cup water, room temperature

1/2 tsp olive oil
3/4 tsp salt

 
instructions: 1) Whisk flour, sugar, yeast together in a large bowl.

2) Add water to hydrate flour mixture and let it sit for 10 minutes.

3) Add olive oil and salt to the dough and mix for 30-60 seconds.

4) Knead the dough for 1 minute.

5) Roll into a ball and let it rise for 2.5 hours.

6) Set oven to 450°. Make room for the pizzas to sit in the bottom-most rack.

7) Add 1.5 tsp olive oil to each pan.

8) Split dough into two balls. Use fingers to spread into 6" disk. Roll it into a 10" round.

9) Move dough into the pan with a quarter inch lip running up the side of the pan.

10) Add 1/3 cup pizza sauce and any toppings.

11) Move the pans to the bottom rack of the oven and cook for 12 minutes, rotating halfway through.
