Teriyaki tofu

An easy weeknight dish. DO NOT COAT WITH CORNSTARCH. The recipe is using 1/3rd of the teriyaki sauce.
 
ingredients: 28 ounces extra-firm tofu, sliced into 3/4-inch thick cubes

1/2 teriyaki sauce
 
instructions: 1) Press tofu between two plates, place a heavy pot on the top plate, and leave in fridge for a few hours. Periodically drain liquid from the plate.

2) Whisk mirin, soy sauce, suger in a measuring cup and microwave to dissolve the sugar.

3) Add oil to the large non-stick pan. Add tofu and cook 3 minutes per side.

4) Add the sauce and toss the tofu.
