| ingredients: | 2 cups (400 g) dried chickpeas (not canned or cooked chickpeas) 5 garlic cloves chopped 1 small onion chopped 1/2 cup cilantro leaves chopped 2 tsp ground coriander 2 tsp ground cumin 1 1/2 tsp sea salt 1 tsp black pepper pinch of Red pepper flakes 1 tsp flour (if needed) |
| instructions: | 1) Soak the dried chickpeas in a large bowl in water for at least 18-24 hours. Be sure to place enough water in the bowl as the beans will soak up a lot of liquid. 2) Drain and dry the chickpeas as best as possible. 3) Mix everything else with the chickpeas. 4) Transfer half of the chickpea mixture into the food processor. Process until well combied, but not mushy. 5) Process the second batch. Afterwards, combine both batches into a bowl and leave it in the fridge for an hour to come together. 6) Add flour to the mixture if it doesn't bind well. 7) Preheat air fryer to 375°. 7) Create 15 small patties, place 5 patties into the air fryer, brush with oil, and cook for 5 minutes. Flip and cook for another 5 minutes or until done. Repeat. |
