Macaroni salad with potatoes

This mac salad is much creamier and offers more elements than the previous recipe.
 
ingredients: 1/4 lb dried macaroni (4oz)
1.5 cups mayo
1 large russet potato, peeled and cut into quarters
1/8 tsp garlic powder
3/8 tsp table salt
1/2 tsp ground pepper
1/2 medium carrot, grated
3 hard boiled eggs, chopped
 
instructions: 1) Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add macaroni and cook until very soft, 10-12 minutes. Drain and rinse. Let it cool down, cover, and place in fridge to cool completely.

2) Bring another pot with water to a boil. Place potato in the pot and cook until fork tender, likely 20-30 minutes.

3) Remove and let it cool completely. Peel and cut into cubes.

4) Transfer the potatoes into the pasta with the rest of the ingredients.
